Our story
Dutch designer Piet-Jan van den Kommer built his reputation over 25+ years creating high-end interiors and products rooted in iconic Dutch design. When he turned his attention to outdoor kitchens, he saw a problem: they demanded constant maintenance and cluttered outdoor space.
His solution? Turn the garden fence into something more. A multifunctional outdoor kitchen that could stay outside 365 days a year, handle any weather, and need almost zero upkeep. Since 2012, that vision has grown into WWOO (Wall With Other Objects).
Built different

WWOO headquarters
Our headquarters sits between Dutch flower fields and farms. Visit our outdoor showroom “WWOO gardens” to see kitchens in action, explore BBQ options, and check out our Big Green Egg shop-in-shop. This is where new ideas are born and prototypes come to life in our own workshop.
Sustainability drives how we work. Our on-site incinerator powers the entire facility. We source from certified suppliers, use sustainable and recycled materials, and each regional partner produces locally to reduce environmental impact.

What started in the Netherlands has grown into a worldwide movement. WWOO’s vision resonated with passionate partners who saw the same potential: outdoor living without compromise.
Today, local WWOO agents craft and install kitchens across the Netherlands, Germany, England, the United States, and Israel. Each partner brings local expertise and craftsmanship while staying true to the original Dutch design philosophy.
