Chicken and baby potatoes by Ron Blaauw

Chicken and baby potatoes; with such a simple recipe, you can never go wrong.



  •   1 BBQ chicken (approximately 800 gr)
  •   Rub: garlic powder, salt, and soybean oil
  •   1 bulb of garlic
  •   2 sprigs of rosemary
  •   1 lemon
  •   400 gr fresh baby potatoes
  •   Soy oil
  •   Salt and pepper


  •   Mixing bowls
  •   Cookware
  •   Microplane grater
  •   Spoons
  •   Whisk

How to prepare

  •   Create a clean and clutter-free workplace.
  •   Preheat the WWOO Braaimaster or Big Green Egg well, indirectly.
  •   Grab a big mixing bowl.
  •   Wash your hands well and have the ingredients ready.
  •   Grab the chicken and lemon and cut the garlic in half.
  •   Stuff the chicken with the lemon, garlic, and rosemary. Close the skin afterwards. Use a skewer if necessary.
  •   Rub the oil, salt, and garlic powder on the chicken.
  •   Hang the chicken above the grill or roast the chicken on the Big Green Egg, indirectly.
  •   Roast the chicken for about 1 hour.
  •   Wash the baby potatoes. Put them in a bowl.
  •   Mix the baby potatoes with some oil, salt, and pepper.
  •   Place it under the chicken to make sure that the cooking liquid drips on the baby potatoes.
  •   Roast the baby potatoes together with the chicken.
  •   Set the chicken aside for 10 minutes before you serve it.
